William Shakespeare was born on the 23rd of April, 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon in the United Kingdoms. He was baptised on the 26th of April at the Holy Trinity Church, three days after he was born. William Shakespeare was the third child of his parents, John Shakespeare and Mary Arden, and he had five other siblings, two older sisters and three younger brothers.
Scholars have summarised that Shakespeare most likely attended school at the King's New School in Stratford, where he received a free education, as his father was a public official. There he would have been taught how to read and write as well as a broadening of his vocabulary.
